ALEX FROSUM
Alex is a Barcelona-based glass artist whose practice is rooted in torch-blown glass, a technique that allows for intimate, organic and highly controlled forms. Working from his studio in Sants, each piece is entirely handmade by the artist, from design and blowing to finishing and packaging, resulting in unique objects defined by color, light and subtle irregularities.
With over three decades of experience, Añó has developed a distinctive contemporary language shaped by classical training at Escola Massana and further studies across Spain and France. His work explores the balance between fragility and precision, embracing chance and experimentation while maintaining strong technical discipline. Inspired by nature and the transformative power of fire, his glass pieces function as sculptural objects designed for everyday spaces.
