CREA-RE STUDIO
Crea-Re Studio is a Barcelona-based lighting studio founded by designer Maria Fiter. Trained in Art History in Kraków, Poland, Fiter approaches lighting from a sculptural perspective, exploring the intersection between art, design and functional objects. Her work reflects a strong sensitivity to form and material, creating pieces that bring a quiet artistic presence into interior spaces.
Each lamp is handcrafted in Barcelona using papier-mâché made from recycled newspapers. Through this process, discarded paper is transformed into textured surfaces and organic volumes that often resemble stone, cork or natural materials while remaining remarkably lightweight. The manual process gives each lamp subtle variations that highlight its artisanal character.
Inspired by nature, the human body and the expressive qualities of textured surfaces, Fiter’s designs explore soft curves, fractures and irregular geometries. Produced in small batches using recycled paper, water-based cellulose glue and natural pigments, every lamp reflects the studio’s commitment to sustainable craftsmanship and the transformation of everyday materials into objects of light.
