JORDINA CERAMICS

Oikos Studio is the multidisciplinary practice of Pascale Zintzen, an artist based in Spain between Barcelona and the Baix Ebre countryside. Working with clay, bronze, painting, weaving and lime, her practice is deeply rooted in material exploration, slow making, and the poetic language of everyday objects.

Clay sits at the core of her work, where functional forms often shift into sculptural territory. Drawing from her background as an archaeologist specializing in domestic ceramics, Pascale approaches objects as carriers of memory, gesture, and use. She frequently incorporates wild pigments gathered from her surroundings, allowing earth, color, and surface to speak with quiet restraint.

Her work is guided by the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, childhood freedom, and a strong Mediterranean sensibility shaped by light, landscape, and rhythm. Balancing urban life in Barcelona with a rural studio in the Delta del Ebro, Oikos Studio reflects a practice grounded in care, intuition, and material honesty, where each piece tells a singular, deeply personal story.
