PABLO YUBERO
Toni Porto is a contemporary sculptor with over three decades of artistic practice centered on an intuitive and sensorial exploration of material, form and emptiness. Working in isolation, he develops a deeply personal language where each piece emerges from a direct dialogue with matter, free from external influences.
His sculptures, often created from freshly cut green wood, evolve over time as the material naturally dries and transforms. This collaborative process between artist and material results in organic, fluid forms that balance control and unpredictability, giving each work a living, visceral presence.
Rather than conveying a conceptual message, Porto seeks to evoke sensations. His refined yet minimal forms invite a tactile and emotional response, reflecting a quiet equilibrium between simplicity, technique and the intrinsic vitality of the material.
