PAMPA
Pampa is a Madrid-based studio founded in 2020 that develops artisanal candle collections and collaborates on artistic productions for brands and cultural institutions. Rooted in the word “Pampa suyu” from Quechua, the project connects the founders’ heritage with a contemporary sculptural approach to everyday objects.
Their first collection explores candles as architectural forms, drawing inspiration from Greek columns, balustrades and classical ornamental furniture. Each piece is conceived as a small sculptural object, elevating a traditional element into a tactile and decorative presence while preserving handcrafted processes such as turning and other traditional techniques.
Alongside their own collections, the studio produces artistic pieces for external projects. Notably, they were selected to create part of Moisés Nieto’s collection for the Museo del Prado, developing a soy-wax quince inspired by the still life Bodegón by Frans Snyders. Through these collaborations, Pampa expands its language between craft, art production and contemporary object design.
