SERGI SERRA MIR
Based in Barcelona, Sergi Serra Mir is an artist whose work moves between illustration, street culture, and sculpture. Trained in graphic design, his practice is driven by intuition, everyday observation, and a playful yet thoughtful approach to making.
Growing up around a family-run cement business, Sergi developed an early relationship with the material. As a child, he explored and handled cement firsthand, learning its textures, weight, and behavior. This early exposure now informs his sculptural practice, where cement becomes both medium and memory, transformed into expressive, ludic forms.
Working with cement and natural pigments on wooden panels, Sergi creates unique pieces that evoke a Mediterranean imaginary filled with waves, moons, staircases, hearts, and symbolic shapes. Each work is handmade in Barcelona, embracing imperfection, sustainability, and a poetic transformation of raw industrial material into playful, intimate sculptures.
