TRENAT

Trenat is a Barcelona-based editor and workshop dedicated to the production of furniture and objects made with natural fibres. Rooted in a family tradition spanning more than 130 years, their work draws from deep knowledge of weaving, basketry and interior craftsmanship, sourcing materials through long-standing relationships with artisans and suppliers around the world.

Through Trenat, historic and contemporary designs are reissued using traditional fibre techniques, placing value on local craftsmanship, material honesty and slow production processes. Their editions reinterpret vernacular Mediterranean furniture, balancing function, tactility and timeless simplicity.

The brand has collaborated with key figures of Spanish design such as Miguel Milá and Marc Morro. While Milá’s work embodies the rigorous and honest spirit of the Spanish design pioneers of the 1950s, Morro brings a contemporary vision grounded in simplicity, functionality and ease of use. By revisiting these designs through the language of natural fibres, Trenat creates a dialogue between modern design and ancestral craft, preserving heritage while giving it renewed contemporary relevance.
