TUNDS
TUNDS is a Spanish design editor dedicated to producing lighting pieces that bring historic designs back into contemporary production. Working with skilled artisans and local workshops, the studio focuses on careful craftsmanship and faithful reinterpretations of iconic objects from twentieth-century design.
One of these designs comes from the Catalan architect and designer José Antonio Coderch (1913–1984), a key figure in Spanish modern architecture. Known for his ability to combine rationalist ideas with a deep sensitivity to materials and environment, Coderch also explored furniture and lighting design as an extension of architecture, creating objects that balance simplicity, function and sculptural presence.
Among these pieces is the Junco lamp, a design that reflects Coderch’s interest in natural materials and Mediterranean craft traditions. Produced today by TUNDS, the lamp combines a simple structure with woven natural fibres, creating a warm, diffused light and a quiet, timeless presence within a space.
