VICTORIA DE VILLALONGA

Victoria de Villalonga is a ceramist and educator whose artistic practice is deeply rooted in a lifelong dialogue with clay, nature, and the elemental forces that shape material transformation. Since her early formation at Escola Massana and later experiences in Italy, her work has evolved through a slow, attentive process that honors the ancestral origins of ceramic making.

Working from her studio in Barcelona, she approaches clay as a living medium guided by earth, water, fire, and air. Her pieces, often situated between sculpture and functional object, reveal a quiet spiritual dimension, where apparent simplicity conceals a profound symbolic and sensory depth.

Influenced by disciplines such as dance and sculpture, Villalonga’s ceramics seek to reconnect with the origin of form, translating natural rhythms into balanced, contemplative objects. Through careful manipulation of clays, minerals, and firing processes, her work becomes a poetic reflection on time, matter, and the enduring bond between human creation and the natural world.
