RICARD CASABAYÓ

Ricard Casabayó is a sculptor whose practice revolves around stone as a vessel of memory, energy, and sensory traces. Inspired by ancestral lithic cultures, he proposes a “minilithic” approach in which small, intimate forms replace monumental structures, transforming humble materials into poetic, symbolic objects.

His work explores the tactile dialogue between matter and gesture, where carving becomes an act of care and attention. Through subtle textures and refined techniques, each piece captures fleeting sensations, evoking journeys, rituals, and emotional landscapes embedded within the material.

Although stone remains central, Casabayó also works with wood, iron, resins, and other materials, always guided by a strong awareness of space and narrative. His sculptures function as condensed stories—objects that invite contemplation and reveal new meanings through touch, light, and time.
