CERÁMICA MUNDET
Cerámica Mundet is a studio dedicated to handcrafted utilitarian ceramics, based in Castellar del Vallès, near Barcelona. Led by ceramist Mercè Trabal, the workshop has been active since the mid-1980s, developing functional pieces rooted in tradition, durability, and everyday use.
Over the years, Cerámica Mundet has developed multiple collections, including rustic, blue, tropical, metallic, raku, and illustrated lines. Today, their work focuses on the Sigillata collection, characterized by soft surfaces and natural tones. All pieces are handmade in Barcelona and designed to be mixed and combined, reflecting a commitment to honest craftsmanship and timeless use.
Balancing the utilitarian and the ritual, these objects elevate everyday gestures into sensory experiences. Alongside studio work, this practice extends into teaching and curatorial activity as co-founder of Limbo Project in Barcelona, a multidisciplinary space dedicated to experimental ceramics, community and contemporary craft.
