ABOUT LLOP
LLOP is a gallery and concept store dedicated to contemporary Spanish craft and design. Located in Madrid’s Barrio de las Letras, the space brings together a curated selection of artists and makers working across ceramics, glass, sculpture, lighting, furniture and textiles.
Founded by designer Alex Llop after more than two decades working in the international fashion industry, the project was born from a desire to reveal a side of Spain rarely seen, one rooted in material honesty, artisanal knowledge and a deep connection to place. Through extensive travels across the country, from the windswept landscapes of the Empordà to the Balearic Islands, Llop began discovering a rich network of contemporary artisans and designers whose work reflects a renewed energy in Spanish craft.
The gallery is conceived as a small corner of the Mediterranean in the heart of Madrid. Whitewashed walls, natural light and a calm architectural atmosphere evoke the landscapes and architecture of the Empordà and the Balearic Islands. Within this setting, ceramics, sculptures, lighting and design objects from across Spain coexist with Llop’s own clothing collections, creating a quiet dialogue between craft, art and contemporary living.
